Diabetes should not stop you from getting health insurance

A good friend of mine told me that he couldn't get health insurance. He told me that he simply couldn't do it. I told him, he hadn't done his research. I knew he could get coverage for a little over $100 per month and add his family on for only pennies. I sent him my link and just like that he got started. He thanked me for directing him to where he could get a good quote, but I stopped him. I sent him to a multi-quote website designed specifically for people to SHOP health insurance. He got 3 seperate quotes and chose the one he felt most comfortatble with. My friend patted me on the back when he saw me. I was just being a friend. I let him know that people with chronic conditions like diabetes, heart ailments and other conditions should quote at least every 6 months. Programs change all the time. A good friend of mine told me that she'd sat with her friend as she had her baby. Her friend had her child in the city hospital's welfare ward. There was very little privacy while she labored and she put forth her seed out in the open. My friend swore she'd not endure the same shame.
